Nifty Radio Accessory Mar 20, 2010
By C. J. Schiller I purchased the Sirius connect SCH1 Home Tuner to allow my Sirius Ready Sony Receiver to broadcast Sirius satellite stations. This devise was easy to install and hides in the back of the stereo equipment. It displays song information on the receiver's display and satellite stations can be easily added to the presets on the receiver. I attached to this tuner my pre-existing satellite cable and outdoor antenna that was previously connected to a Boom box to receive excellent reception and sound quality. I would highly recommend this inexpensive Sirius product.

fan freakin tastic!! Jan 15, 2011
By rushfan The Sirius Connect SCH1 works amazing. No more fumbling with docking stations and having to bring my Sat receiver in to the house to listen through my home theater.
I do have one complaint though. I did not realize that I would have to pay an additional $9.95 a month to activate the tuner. Had I known that ahead of time I probably wouldn`t have bought it.
Enjoy

Solved Problem of Receiving Sirius on my Sony AV System Feb 12, 2010

"Chainman"
I purchased a new Sony Receiver. The reason I purchased the Receiver is because it came with a plug in for Sirius Radio. I had a Starmate Sirius Receiver, however it would not work with the Sony system. I purchased this SCH1 Home Tuner to receive the signal without using the Starmate. After setting it up and a few minor problems, have to use the RCA Cables that come with the unit, it worked fine.
The reason I purchased it from Amazon is because of the price. I inquired Sirius about purchasing this same unit. The price from Sirius was about 2 times what I paid to Amazon.

OK, at first... Jun 18, 2011
By Mel Famey My original unit worked about 1 year then died. Just sent back the replacement unit to Amazon as it didn't work out of the box. I'm going to look for a different solution from somewhere other than Sirius.

Great Tuner for the price Mar 01, 2011
By R. Nelson After growing very tired of the Sonictap music channels on Directv, I decided to make the jump back to satellite radio (since Directv used to have XM as their music channels). I have an Onkyo receiver which is Sirius ready, so I did some research and checked out what Amazon had to offer. This tuner hooked up in a minute and, after I routed the antenna outside, I had perfect reception. Using the display option on my Onkyo, I can see artist and song titles. The antenna cable could stand to be longer but $50 for an additional 50 ft of antenna cable is too much (money and cable). Reception on the antenna can be dicey...3 stars on calm days and 1 or none on windy/stormy days.....I'm still looking for the perfect spot and aim for the antenna.
