Great case if you want to use the AV dock as well Jan 24, 2010
By P. Sommer I initially bought the incipio feather case for my zune hd. While it was a nice case I had to remove it every time I wanted to use my av dock. The edge case has a easy to remove bottom piece so when you take that off you can still dock it and leave the top half of the case on.
I read other reviews where people used the AV dock with various cases still on, by simply removing the dock insert on the dock itself. I suppose this would work, but it does say not to use the zune without the proper dock insert installed. I imagine it is there to properly support which ever zune you have so that it does not strain the connector. That was enough to make me not want to take chances. Plus with the dock insert in, it looks a lot nicer.
The case itself is great. The buttons are easy to access and the soft matte finish gives the zune some extra grip. I did not even try the screen protector because I always have trouble getting those things on. With what I have read about gorilla glass, I doubt I will need one. Still nice of incipio to include it though. The case itself does make me feel a little better about scratches, since it would raise it up slightly if it were placed face down.
Very happy with my purchase....

Incipio EDGE Slider vs Incipio Feather case for Zune HD Jun 19, 2010
By JMTecho I bought both the Incipio Feather case and the Incipio EDGE Slider case for the Zune HD and have listed the advantages and disadvantages below:
General: - both cases offer excellent protection from scratches and drops (I actually dropped mine on cement while the Zune HD was incased in the Feather and it protected it perfectly.)
Feather advantages: - easy to remove and attach - doesn't interfere with screen protectors
Feather disadvantages: - requires removal from Zune HD when inserting into charger dock (not a huge disadvantage since it's easy to remove and attach)
EDGE Slider advantages: - case bottom is removable for inserting into charge dock
EDGE Slider disadvantage: - Can't apply a screen protector PRIOR to sliding case onto Zune because it causes screen protectors to buckle (I read this on another review prior to purchasing the EDGE Slider, but thought I could work around it. I was wrong.) - Can't apply screen protector AFTER sliding case onto Zune because screen protectors are designed to perfectly cover the screen and this case covers more of the Zune HD screen than the Feather in such a way that it prevents a screen protector from properly being applied.
Summary: - If you're trying to decide which case to buy? Get the Feather case.

Poor product Feb 22, 2010

It's a shame that Incipio seems to be the only manufacturer of ZuneHD cases, because this is a pretty shoddy product. The first problem with it is it looks and feels incredibly cheap. They claim it's made of high quality polycarbonate, but it feels unlike any polycarbonate I've ever seen before. It feels more like PVC or polyethylene (chemist here :P). At any rate, whatever plastic it is it should provide good protection against drops.
The second problem is it fits your Zune so impossibly tight that there is ZERO room for it to move about. I had a Zagg invisible armor kit on my zune (which is paper-thin) and it refused to go into the case, in fact I tried to force it in the case and it completely ruined the armor coating on my zune (which I'm kind of pissed about because it was actually more than this stupid case was).
I would not recommend this case at all and I hope somebody else will enter the ZuneHD case market if only to give Incipio a kick in the rear to start making good products.

Zune HD Case Review Jan 19, 2010

This is a pretty nice case. It actually looks better than the pictures that Amazon has. It has a more "matte" look too it which I prefer. Putting the Zune in the case is pretty simple and is snug. The whole Zune is protected and will not get damaged if ever dropped (exterior anyway). The only issue I had was installing the case to the Zune. I bought a expensive screen protector and as many of you know, it doesn't entirely front lcd from top to bottom or end to end (it makes sense cause how can anyone apply it perfectly if it was the exact size as the lcd). I had the protector fit perfectly from the top and going bottom there is a 1/2 to 1mm gap. When put the Top part of the Case on, It crimped the top of the screen protector and made it bubble out of place. I had to remove the protector and reapply it so the gap is on the top. Everything is fine now.

very good and solid case...but Aug 09, 2011
By danica this case is in my opinion the best one you can get for the zune hd. I have read other review's on how it won't work with the supplied screen protector, that is not entirely true. I nput the screen protector on the zune and slid it in the case very slowly and it worked. problem is now I cant remove the zune from the case it is impossible to get it out. when I absolutely need to remove the zune I guess I will figure it out.but as far as the case it is not bulky and has a good feel to it I like it. but beware
