This is easily the best tech purchase that I have made on Amazon. Chose to have this baby overnighted and received the package in less than 18 hours.
To start, This is a very attractive looking vinyl player. The back of this unit contains RCA(Red/White) outputs to hook up to an audio receiver, but I purchased this item planning on hooking it straight up to the AUX(Phones) port. After looking into an array of vinyl players I found that the majority of them lack an Aux output and are not "self powered" like this unit which contains its own speaker system(the speakers are decent, but obviously you want to hook this up to some real speakers anyway). A player with only RCA outputs requires a sound system with receiver and this can get really expensive. I am not so much interested in the recording features of this player, but I am sure I will find myself using it at some point. Seems very intuitive.
I have this unit hooked up through the AUX port to a set of Klipsch 2.1 powered speakers [...] and man does it sound great. I highly recommend these speakers. This set up, including the speakers cost me $230 (140$ for the speakers and 90$ for the player)and I would recommend this combination to anyone looking for a cost effective, awesome vinyl set up.

Excellent. Converts old vinyl LP records to MP3's without any trouble at all. All you do is plug in a flash drive or a memory card, play the record, and you have an instant MP3 copy of the record.

We were looking for a turntable that would allow us to play records we haven't listened to in years without the hassle of a big sound system. This is perfect for our needs. Speakers are clear and strong enough for a small room. The biggest advantage is that this system uses a USB or flashcard rather than the software other systems use and customers have complained about. Reasonably priced; a great value.

Before purchasing I read many reviews on this. I'm not going to take the time to go into too much detail, but I would like to say that the player I received today came in a well packaged box with little set-up time. I've played an entire record and a half on it without the player stopping (like some have said). The speakers are loud enough for a medium-large room. The radio picked up perfectly. I haven't tried importing my vinyl to USB because I didn't buy it for that reason. For the money, this is a great turntable. I took a gamble (based on amazon reviews) and won out. There are always a handful of products (out of an entire assembly line) that show up broken or not working and unfortunately those are when people get on the net to review them which is why I figured I'd add something to this record player's review. If there are any changes in the player I'll add to this. So far, so good.

Had some doubts when I initially ordered this based on some of the reviews here. Was torn between this and the Pyle unit at a similar (way discounted) price. I went with the Jensen because the other one was way older and I didn't think the software for encoding the mp3's would be as reliable. So, because the Jensen was a more up to date unit it seemed a smart choice. I am greatly impressed by this turntable and feel is was the best value for what I spent. I wanted a self-contained turntable to spin the small collection of lp's I had. This unit does everything described beautifully. It came in an over sized box from Amazon with some packing paper inside. Despite the shoddy packing the unit itself was well packed inside it's own factory box. There was lots of tape holding moving parts down, but easily removed. Set up was as easy as clearing a space on the entertainment center and plugging the player in. Without reading the manual I was able to operate the player without an issue. I tested the player with a variety of metal and 80's new wave records (12", 10" and 7" at different speeds). All sound good through the built in side speakers and the bass boost button on. They are not the loudest speakers, but plenty loud for me. There are inputs for external speakers and a switch to shut the internal ones off. I have had NO ISSUES with records skipping. Even records that used to skip on my old player (and I'd use the dime on the arm trick to play them)don't skip on this turntable. There is a slight wobble to the platter, but it doesn't affect playability. Recording MP3 to a SD/Flash works great. Just have to play with the record player to get the timing right (leaves blank space in the beginning of the song if you record when the needle first drops down). Have not used the radio much, but did turn it on to test it. I was able to tune numerous stations without the antennae extended. The hinged cover seems no more flimsy that that from any other record player I've ever had. Usually you break them out of haste to lift the lid. If you remember to open the player carefully it should last a long time.
In all I am very pleased with this purchase. Well worth the asking price. If the speakers were louder/more dynamic in sound I would have given up the extra star (but they are merely adequate and functional). It's an attractive cost-effective player for the casual vinyl hobbyist.
