Great sound for a small room Feb 26, 2009
By Andrew Kristalyn

The Sub-10 really kicks out some deep base. I have it in a room that is about 12X14 and it really fills the room with sound. I keep it turned down most of the time, as it vibrates the dishes. It is large, take the measurements, make a cardboard box and see where you will place it. It's easy to connect, and I like the Klipsch sound and quality. As far as I'm concerned, it a great unit and good value.

Amp circuit board failed. Jan 19, 2011
By Rather be fishing I'm a fan of Klipsch products because of their great sound and quality for the money, but this sub is an exception to the rule. It lasted almost 4 years with great sound before the amp circuit board/components failed. The fuse will blow and then you will replace the fuse only to find out the new fuse will immediately blow also. Do your research...you will find I'm not the only one with this same exact problem for this model.
Possible reason for failure: I believe the 10" woofer puts a slight strain on the 200w amp.
Because I still think Klipsch is the best for the money I decided to give this another shot so I purchased the Klipsch SW-450. It's still a 10" sub with the same box dimensions only it has a 450w amp vs the 200w amp. I'm banking on this being the longer term solution.
If you have the extra bones to spend on a Klipsch sub skip this model and just buy the SW-450.

great! Dec 01, 2010
By cursion Recently got this and hooked it up and I love it! Before you order though, make sure you have a good place to put it, ours fits below the tv, but just barely. Also, your pets may not like this .. a heavy bass moment caused an odd look and a thorough investigation.

Excellent Product Aug 01, 2010
By Electronic Maniac This sub is awesome. Replaced it with an Onkeyo that was making a clicking/rattle noise when the bass would get heavy. This sub is loud...I only have it on 40 % and it is plenty. No complaints....would recommend to anyone

The perfect accompaniment to the Quintet 5s Aug 10, 2011
By Capo

I got this extremely reasonably priced sub to accompany my Klipsch Quintet 5s and I have to say, WOW. The bass is very clean and precise while still being able to fill my 27'x19' living room. Thanks to the down firing speaker and the rear port, there aren't really high spots or low spots of bass as it fills the room relatively evenly. If I turn it up, I can get my walls to rattle. For anyone looking for a perfect fit with a home theater system used for music and movies, I would highly suggest this sub, especially for the incredible price!
The only downfalls I've found is that the automatic turnoff is set to a volume that is too high so it shuts off when I would rather it not. Easily fixed by turning that feature off and letting it run all the time. Also, the front blue power light is much too bright (it's distracting while watching movies at night) so I just covered it with some electrical tape and that eliminated that issue.
