 Very Good Screen Protector Sep 25, 2009

I was a little hesitant of getting this screen protector as I have never heard of Lexerd before. When I got the item in the mail I was more than pleased. The kit came with everything needed to apply the screen to my Zune HD 32GB: Lint-Free cloth, 2 rubber finger tip gloves, and card to push out air bubbles. Application was easy and the protector was very forgiving when I had to pull it back up and reapply due to an air bubbles I left right in the middle of the screen. This screen protector is very high quality and even though its a few more dollars than others I've seen, I highly recommend it. Only thing I recommend is get the Anti-glare version of the Lexard screen, the screen protector lives up to the "crystal clear" name, not distorting the display or colors at all but does not help at all when outside. (Zune is bad enough outside with the OLED display being barely visible).

Peace of mind for your Zune HD Nov 05, 2009

The kit contains mini finger gloves to avoid getting your fingerprints onto the screen, a little card to squeeze out air bubbles, a microfiber cloth, and the screen protector. As one other reviewer pointed out, the screen protector isn't a "exact" fit. It leaves a very small margin on the sides, and also that little space near the home button. For me, it covers all the vital parts, and made installation a little easier since I don't have to go crazy lining everything up perfect.
What impressed me isn't everything included in the kit, or the quality of the screen protector (which is good quality to note), but it was the peace of mind I got with the product. To be honest, I was pretty bummed the first time I applied the screen protector. When I put the screen protector on, I naturally got the air bubbles, so I used the little card that came out with the kit to push out the air bubbles. The card worked out great, and got all the air bubbles out.
However, be careful! Make sure to check all edges of the card. One of the sides of my card was not entirely smooth, so it put small scratches all over. I didn't notice them since they only showed up at certain angles. But, the scratches show up when my screen has a white background. I was pretty bummed to see that, so I contacted Lisa from Lexerd about the issue. She gave me no hassles, and offered a refund or a replacement. I got the replacement very quickly, and it worked out great! I was very impressed with how much they value customer satisfaction.
After having two tries, here is my advice for putting on the screen protector. First, dust off or vacuum the area you are going to work in. Next, clean your screen with the microfiber cloth. Now, take the two finger gloves, and put them on the index finger of each hand. This is so you can touch the sticky side of the screen protector without having to worry about dust or finger prints. Your thumbs will be on the top of the screen protector, so you don't need the gloves. With both hands on the screen protector, you have much more control to line up the screen protector. Lastly, push out all the air bubbles with the card, or with the finger gloves. The gloves worked great, so I didn't bother using the card this time around.
The screen protector retains all the original colors, and there is no loss of sensitivity for the touch controls. Highly recommended!

While this is a high quality screen protector, you guys forgot one important detail...it doesn't completely cover the Zune HD screen. I applied mine and theres still about 1/8-1/4" of exposed touchscreen area. Sorry, but advertising specifically for Zune HD and then not fitting it completely just doesn't cut it in my book. Especially after paying a total of [...] for it! Not worth the price. Buy the DIY kits and cut it to whatever size you like....and cheaper!

As soon as I got my 32gb Zune HD, I put this screen protector on it and it's served me well for about a year.
At the time, I purchased the Lexerd because it was the only one available on Amazon. It's easy to install, doesn't distort the screen or colors in any way, and does a good job protecting the screen.
After awhile, enough oil from my hands built up on the screen that I started to see some smudges, but I think a glasses cleaning wipe would've solved that problem (I never actually tried it b/c the smudges weren't too bad).
After about a year of use, a friend was using my Zune and dinged it up pretty good - there's a dent in the metal back. The screen protector was scuffed/scraped badly as well and the screen was partly obscured. When I took off the protector (which was easy to do and left no sticky residue) the screen was undamaged!
Some reviewers complain that the Lexerd protector doesn't cover the entire surface of the glass - not quite reaching to the edges - and this is true. It never really bothered me, but now that I had to get a new protector, I went with the IPG Screen Protector.
The IPG protector doesn't cover the entire screen either, but it comes closer. I've only been using the IPG for a few days, but so far I like it. It is thicker than the Lexerd and is more rubbery (the Lexerd felt like plastic). On the downside, the IPG is not as smooth - it's almost slightly tacky to the touch, but not enough to be a nuisance.

I made a mistake when I attach this to my Zune HD. Dust got stuck between Zune HD and screen protector. I had to take it off and more dust got between and I had to throw away.
I know that it's totally my fault and I wasted $10. Shoot
