Pay Attention to the One Star Reviews: very short battery life May 30, 2010
By EverCeltic I bought this with my SD960IS to give me a "charger" while I had one battery in the camera. I read the reviews of some saying it was as good as the Canon and others saying it wouldn't hold a charge. I love a bargain so I took the gamble. Even at less than $10, this item is NOT worth it. My Canon battery charged and worked for several days. At the end I was zooming in and out and playing video trying to get the battery to die so I could try this battery. The Canon lasted long after the battery warning came on. This battery charged for those several days, but after a few photos started to flash low battery warnings. I never even got the chance to try video on it. If you're at an event, this would give you about 45minutes of life. No problem if you are at home and have your second battery charging- it will get you through the gap. But if you're away from a charging place, say out and about on vacation, this battery does not fill the bill. I'm really disappointed and wished I had put the money towards a Canon battery equal to the one that came with the camera.

Full charge last only about 50 shots. Very disappointed. Dec 31, 2009
By Bay V. Dinh poor battery life. Full charge can take about 50 shots. Buy Canon one. Those would last very long.

Awesome Battery for my Canon SD630 Digital camera Mar 08, 2010
By ZDarryl This is an awesome and inexpensive replacement battery for my Canon SD-630 digital camera. The OEM Canon NB-4L battery is $35 and this was around $6. Can't beat that. It has a very long life and works great with my camera. I bought one of these previously and it lasted my 3 yrs before it wouldn't hold a charge anymore. Great return on a $6 investment!

Back for another one Aug 24, 2010
By A. B. King I have been using this for several months. I am buying a second one to replace the original Canon battery, which has run its course. Great value for the price. You need to fully charge these 3-5 times to get the maximum battery life, as with all batteries.
The very fine prints says to charge your battery for 10 hours before using it the first time. The next time it only takes 2 hours to charge it. You need to charge 3-5 times before the battery reaches its full capacity.

Very short battery life May 15, 2010
By soren121 If $35 seems too much for a Canon battery, buy it anyway. This cheap battery pack is a poor replacement for the battery made by Canon, and it shows. After fully recharging it, it lasts about 10 minutes shooting HD video before shutting off. I installed the CHDK firmware to check the battery level more accurately, and noted that the battery level dropped about 1-2% every second. Please, just spend the extra cash for the Canon battery; you'll be thanking yourself later.
