This is an item that is very hard to find. There are not many cassett, AMFM, CD players to find. I really like this one because it's small and the speakers can be connected to the main unit or not. It is powerful enough and the radio is great. I wish it could load more than one CD at a time and that there was a lit radio station strip but it's great for what I need it for. If you are having a hard time deciding on a player, I highly recommend this one.

nicely packaged unit that sounds good. Plays CDs and cassette tapes as well as AM/FM. The only complaint I have is that maybe the wires connecting the speakers could be longer providing more separation for the sound.

AWESOME FOR THE PRICE! May 07, 2011

The sound quality is great. I was not expecting this product to be this nice for the price. I would be buying one more for my hobby room. It makes a great present for the kids room too. The speaker are super light so I thought the product may not be as great as I have read the reviews about it. But to my surprise it works wonderfully and I am very happy.

The company from whom I purchased this inferior product is itself, inferior, especially in customer service. So this was a huge rip off with huge amounts of buyers' remorse all around. The unit sounds cheap, has very little versatility for dialing in preferred sounds and tones, has NO tone control other than a button that when pushed increases the (shallow and tin-like) bass response (so your bass selection is either ON or OFF...nothing in between), there's no digital read out of the laser position on the CD so you have no idea where you are within any song, has an el cheapo analog radio with no back light in the dial. Amd in the Amazon/Ace Phoato Digi ad, they promote a remote control which is as worthless as the plastic that this piece of Chinese crap-junk was made of. The remote is indeed a laugh-out-loud, throw-it-across-the-room kind of thing which only functions about 25% and has buttons which seemingly are only for decoration or maybe for thumb wrestling exercise. The owners manual makes NO mention of the remote, so you're pretty much on your own. I tried four times to contact Ace Photo Digital Customer service to inquire about its function, but was never able to speak with them...they were Never in. I was told they'd call me back, but of course, they never did. I should have returned this item the minute I opened it (that was my first impulse), but I'm not a refunder. It was my fault that I got screwed without doing more research, and I have learned from it. I will use this piece of junk as long as I can and when it dies (I expect it will be soon) I will then have the satisfaction of taking a 5 pound sledge hammer to it. This will be fun! Then (and only then) will I be satisfied. In the meantime, you perspective audio customer, please learn from my mistake. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP!!!!

Before I purchased this product, I wanted to know what the quality of the sound would be, being that the price was reasonable. Once I received it and tested all the sound options, I was very pleased. Another thing that pleased me was the detachable speakers and remote control.
