PASC12 good monitor for the $$$ Apr 11, 2007

The Pyle Pro stage monitor PASC12 is a good piece of equipment for
the money. I found it a little weak on bass, but the all-important
vocal reproductions come thru well and this is what a monitor is
all about. I like the fact that there is no carpet covering to pick
up trash from the stage floor and the lack of carpet covering doesn't
seem to hurt the acoustics.

It is recommended for those who wants to buy maybe their first pair of monitors...
The bad:
a) The side holders are made of plastic and they are very weak,
b) The sound is muddy... it is weak on highs,
c) The corners' protector are made of plastic so probably they won't be hard enough...
The good:
a) C'mon! These speakers are pretty cheap,
b) They SEEM to be like a "PRO Monitor",
c) I plugged into a 1200 watts amp. and they worked mmm let's say good on stage... (that's their mission isn't it?)
I'll check the behavior of these stuffs while they work and I'll try to extend my review in few months...

I ordered this product as a church floor monitor. Without much money to spend on such a product, I ordered one of the cheapest I found on Amazon with at least some reviews. Because of the price, we didn't expect much. We simply figured that it would be better than our current disfunctional Sampsons. The monitors sound spectacular, at least in comparison to our 200W's now. 500 Watts is no joke. The minimum sound on the monitors is still quite loud. Anyway, we're very proud to have these. The sound is great and the build seems very solid. Of course, I can't speak for durability, as I've only had it for a day, but I'll keep you posted if anything happens.

Lets face it head on!! $$$ in my pocket. I would like to say after 22 months of continuous use the speaker's proved itself on every level.
The case handles rigors of the road and continues sounding GREAT!!!!
I don't think this should break down anytime soon...IF it does i'll replace it with another in a heartbeat; Probably the best deal imaginable!!

Guess it's true what they say, you get what you pay for. I didn't expect these speakers to be great but I did expect them to function. Wrong. Don't waste your money. Power handling claims are a flat out lie.
