After some dithering with it, I find that it is not all that bad...
One thing I want to note, is that I hope no body makes the mistake that I did and approach this product as if it were like a traditional mp3 player. In that the older devices, from iPopds, to Zunes to the others (Sony, Phillips, etc) do a lot of the arranging and sorting for you.
This device arranges items in the order that they are set as files. The way you see them, while adding them via your computer, is likely the way that they are going to be displayed. It allows for the user to sort and arrange his music, videos, eBooks, whatever, in the way that best suits him as opposed to automatically doing it in the way that best suits the browsing capability of the device.
Really, if you are looking for something versatile that allows for a different kind of personalisation and comes with a lot of desirable features for a low price, this is it. I bought an mp3 player that was far less advanced for $80.05 and returned that one once I had gotten this one figured out.
I hope the developers continue with this product.

This is a versatile Music + Video player and e-reader. I have had many digital MP3/media type devices in the past, but none performed like this one. The screen is large and bright, it plays movies in high definition. Also the touch screen is sensitive, making it easy to navigate through screens. There is a built in speaker loud enough that i can watch my movies on it and hear clearly. The battery life is decent; I can watch a movie and still have battery remaining, but I charge mine daily so I haven't had a problem. I do like the fact that the unit comes with a proper AC adapter and USB adapter, so i can either charge it through my computer, or plugging into a wall adapter.
The response of the unit is excellent, so right after i click a song it begins playing, without a lag time. I was able to easily load my music and video files and find it easy to find them through the on-screen menus. Navigating the menus in general is pretty straightforward and basic.
I am very happy with the value that I got for what I paid.

I really like the quality feel of this MP3/4/5 player. It has substance without being heavy or cumbersome. It feel solid and like it will withstand use. The display is large enough to be helpful and it is designed with good graphics and an excellent file system. I still have not loaded it to capacity and I have included almost everything I have wanted to have on hand. I especially love that I can use it horizontally or vertically. Music files work best in one direction and TXT files work better in the other.
I was HUGELY disappointed in the manual. It was obviously written by someone who knows very little English. There is a LOT of incorrect information. Fortunately it is easy to use common sense and weed most of it out. I really suggest downloading the full sized manual at: [...]
It is also very questionable that all the literature (including manual and product box) refer to file formats that are not supported. For instance, AVI is the only video format that (apparently) will work.
I have had to return it because the battery will not hold a charge. Amazon has been very good about taking it back and sending a replacement in an expedited manner. I am optimistic that this is an unusual situation and that my replacement will work to my satisfaction.
ONE YEAR LATER - I was unable to get one of these that would hold a charge. Even the parent company would not back up their product or send me one that would be assured to work properly. That is too bad too. It has so many things going for it.
I am still searching for the right electronic device to serve my needs.
I would now give it one star.

Saw the price and had to have it. It has all the features I was looking for, but turns out to be unsophisticated, with few personalization options. You get what you pay for.
PROS:
8GB memory held all my songs and videos, 4.3 inch screen size is awesome, protective rubber casing, plays the video types listed (I use mostly MP4), headphone volume is good, wallpapers are bright and easy to change, touch screen uses taps and swipes, sync with Windows Media Player was easy and fast, uploaded videos and photos using Windows Explorer (My Computer), is memory expandable, AC adapter
CONS:
- it won't turn on unless plugged into power,
- settings and icon locations return to default after powering off,
- touch screen response is spotty and inconsistent,
- tap the home icon and wait a good minute for the main icons to appear,
- speaker volume is wimpy, tinny and not loud,
- no song controls other than start, next, previous, and cover art rarely appears,
- have to set up playlists externally and then upload to unit,
- no equalizer editing options,
- menus are repetitive and many options unnecessary,
- couldn't locate any file sorting options,
- HD video is just OK. At high brightness videos are still dark,
- Took 3 hours to recharge from 20%,
- discharged 60% power overnight while turned off,
- no clock, no games,
- PC sees the unit as a flash drive,
And yes, the teeny-tiny manual is useless.
Alas, I'll be sending it back. If anyone can recommend another unit that costs less than $100, that has mega-interface options, let me know.

I read all of the reviews for this item before I bought it so I can say that pretty much everything that they said is true.
Do not buy this if you don't have the time or inclination to get it to do what you want. If you want something that you just dump files onto and it organizes everything for you, then you'll have to pay more for it or it won't have as many file types supported.
When charging the device, make sure you turn the switch to the 'On' position or it won't charge. You wouldn't think this by reading the manual, but you should know by now that the manual stinks.
I got this because of the price and the wide range of file types supported. I haven't tested all of them that are listed, but if it only plays the ones I've tried so far then that's enough for me. This was $20 cheaper than my old mp3 player that broke and it does 4 times as much stuff, so I can deal with a little extra hassle setting it up.
