Kit works great. It was different from the original kit that came with the radio. The original kit had an option to hang the radio from the A/C vent, this one did not. The only options are to mount it to the windshield or using adhesive to mount it to the dash itself. I chose to mount to the windshield. It is very solidly mounted. I don't really like this mounting option though, because in the dark, the screen is very bright and lights up my whole car. It is also very distracting. If mounted in a different position (it is in the middle of the windshield) it might not be so distracting. This is mounted in a small SUV, with the antenna in the back coming through the tailgate, there was plenty of wire left over by the time I got up front. I was even able to hide the wiring in the cracks of the dash until I got to the top. (I used a window screen repair tool to press the wire into all the cracks in the car and it worked very well and saved my fingers).
I'm glad I purchased this as it was intended for my husband's truck, however, when we take long trips we always drive mine. So now we get the benefits of being able to swap the radio between vehicles.

I ordered this product for my work vehicle. The only complaint that I have is the glue on the back of the mounting bracket does not hold.

After the purchase of a different car, I just wanted to be able to move the SiriusXM receiver between cars - this was the solution.
This kit came with everything needed for the receiver - I only had to get the proper mount for the car. The installation directions were slightly generic, but they were great for the second car. I would recommend.
Easy setup Aug 25, 2011

Easy to setup. I have it in two vehicles and in neither could I direct connect to the radio, so just used FM option which works fairly well. One mounted to window and one to the a/c vent. Very simple...took 5 minutes. A little tight getting the radio on/off the docking station, so you need to hold the bracket when removing the radio due to a bit flimsy plastic mounting hardware, but otherwise, pretty good.
Someday they will install the antenna integrated into the unit like a GPS, because running antenna to the outside of vehicle makes it too easy for someone to screw with it.

Great product, easy to install. I do wish there was a way to make a power connection straight to the fuse box though. I had to rig up a home made harness using the cigarette lighter adapter. Works fine though.
