At first look this seems like a great deal, and it probably would be if the player that was sent to me was actually functioning. I disconnected the headliner of my car and wired this puppy up and it was DOA. If you are installing yourself, imagine how pissed you will be to find out the damn thing doesn't work after you already invested some time into it.
One thing that I will say is that the customer service was helpful and they are in the process of issuing me a refund. I purchased a PYLE 10.4" model and the quality is ten-fold. You can tell that a lot more care went into making the PYLE over this model.
I have read a lot of people saying that the units don't come with IR, but they all have settings that you just have to turn on in the settings menu, so don't be afraid to buy because of that, but be aware of the quality of this machine.
I wrote this to be helpful and I hope that it helps you make a more informed decision. The PYLE was just under $200 and is a WAY better machine!

I purchased this DVD player for my children. When I had it installed the audio output was so weak that I had to purchase a booster, which cost an extra $50. Within a week of being installed a piece came off from around the laser eye of the player, causing the wires to rub along the disc, which stopped the player from working. We were able to get the wires pushed back inside enough to play the movies. But now two weeks later the door for the DVD is broken and will not shut. I have had this for a little over a month, and am now out the cost of the player, $50 for the booster, and $200 to install it. Do yourself a favor, and buy a better model. You get what you pay for. And I got garbage.

after one day the disc lock broke causing the player to malfunction saying no disc, cant be repaired as the spring for the lock is directly behind the monitor, poor quality, poor design, dont get caught.
as simple as the lights is it does not work

STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY! Installation wasn't bad due to the fact that I was replacing a dvd player and wiring was already done. Once completed, we used this unit for 20 minutes. When we got back in the car, the player came on, said Loading, then No Disc. I took the disc out and it had a circular burn/scratch on it. Tried a second disk, same thing. I read through what little instruction manual it came with- nothing in the troubleshooting section. I packed it up and sent it back, cursing myself for not staying away from this product as most of the reviews say to do. I just received the same type of unit from PYLE. It is MUCH better and $25 more.

I have a monitor/dvd installed in my car from these people and it was messing up so i emailed them and they emailed me one email at a time asking for all different things that they needed for them to back their warranty well after I gave them EVERYTHING they asked for I stopped getting a response from them i emailed and emailed for 2 months and no response now my warranty is up and i am screwed these people make crap and their service is the worst i've ever experienced I really hope they go bankrupt because karma is a B*tch and that's exactly what they deserve.
